Katerina Speranskaya

 

Cello, Piano

Katerina Speranskaya began her musical education in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. During her studying she was a participant of the sixth International Competition of Young Pianists named after S. Rachmaninov in Velikiy Novgorod, Russia.

At present, Katerina is at her third year of Bachelor of music Degree at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, studying piano and specializing in music composition. She is also studying cello at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with William Butt. Katerina has enjoyed success in various national competitions, won a few scholarships including one from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and participated in many Master Classes, including the ones with Barry Douglas, Rustem Hayroudinoff, Mabel Swainson, Pavel Nersessian and Douglas Humpherys. As a cellist, she is a member of RIAM and DIT Symphony Orchestras, regularly performing with them at different Dublin venues, including the National Concert Hall, and elsewhere in Ireland.
